Hey guys, it's been a while. I've been off at school the past few years and am finally in my senior year. Im doing the Formula SAE competition for my senior design project. If you're not familiar, we design and manufacture a mini formula car and go to a race event with 80 other schools.

Anyways, back when i was on here, a few of you guys had some good insight on small wheels. I'm currently looking at braid sturace mononut 13's, which, as the name suggests, will be secured via center lock nut. They're 6.8lbs (3.1kgs) a piece and 7" wide but im looking for something slightly lighter. I was just wondering if you guys knew of some badass light weight 13's out there?

I'm not sure how many people even check the forum anymore. You'd probably have better luck asking on Facebook.

I have a list of Miata wheels bookmarked and they have several 13s listed, but nothing that light. 6.8lbs is half of most wheels. ha!

Sounds like a killer project but Rob is right, the lightest 13s I have ever had were from a honda civic vx, wheels @ 9.6 lbs each. Bassett is also known for their lightweight wheels in a 13x8 format that cost a killer $70 per. (Rounded) fair deal if they fit over calipers.
