Tired of nothing going on in Kansas? We are too.

Well thats all about to change.

WHO: Everyone and anyone
WHERE: Heartland Park Topeka
WHEN: July 16th '08

Questions???

When does it start?
  4pm to dusk.

How many Drivers are allowed?
  Minimum of 20, Maximum of 40.

How much will it cost?

  $60 to drive.
  $5 to spectate

What helmet is required to enter?
  Helmet must meet or exceed the following requirements:
  -Snell Memorial Foundation – SA2000 , SA2005
  -SFI Foundation – Spec 31.2, Spec 31.2A
  -British Helmet Standard – BS 6658:1958

What part of Heartland will we be on?
  Their 25-acre skid pad ....take a look

Is this going to be an actual competition?
  Not this time, just a practice day.

What will the tech inspection consist of?

  The inspection will be similar to that of an SCCA Auto-cross event. Helpful info and tips can be found Here.

It's been along time coming but Kansas finally has legal Drifting. Save up, fix your ride (If your a 240 owner) and come out to slide!

ATTENTION MORE INFO.....


-Registration will be available at the gate.
     -Registration times are from 3pm to 6pm

-Drivers must be 18 or older, have a valid Driver's License and proof of insurance.

-No Tandem.

-We will have two courses, one will be a basic setup for beginners and the other will be more advanced. All drivers looking to get into the advanced course will be subject to a qualifying test on the basic course.

There is a $5 fee for spectators.

An on site tire mounting service will not be available, unless you know someone who knows someone......
However awesome Sunoco Racing fuel will be!!!!!! YAY, 110 Octane what?

We recommend arriving early to help get things organized and maximize your seat time.

Also, we will need volunteers to help run things. If you don't have a car, but what to get close to the action and learn more about Drifting then we highly recommend helping with the event.
What jobs?
-Corner Workers
-Start and Stop worker
And other odd easy jobs.

If you are interested in volunteering or taking pictures/video please PM either James (jFries) or I.

touring days are the days that heartland park does general track days and stuff like that, so he opened up the skid pad for us to use. So yes and no. It is apart of that touring club day but no we're not associated with them in any way.

Preregistration will be required for the first 20 drivers possible all of them. I will contact HPT and see how exactly they want to do it, as soon as I find out I or Derek will let you guys know.

I have a DSLR now so I can take pics while I'm not drifting. Good thing it's partly at a time when the light is bright enough for pics.  I don't have a camcorder anymore though :/ Alexey might though

I have a crapy Hi-8 camcorder, It's really old and the battery only last about an hour, if you dont film anything.

Surface is very smooth no major cracks or bumps. As for grip I dunno, I have yet to test it out.
