Here's a link to the album in my photobucket account for all the pics I took today at the event. There are plenty! 241 to be exact. I hope that I included everyone that drove today. I know how it feels to not have any pics on yourself at an event! Enjoy!!

Nice pics man. Looks like loads of seat time (as usual). How many cars did the wall eat?

Sucks it happened but the lighting and picture are pretty cool:

And is this guy on the board? He's at like every event but I don't know his screenname if he is.

3 I think. Not sure though. One couldn't be gotten with the truck, so a forklift was used. :( There were a few others that tapped the wall pretty good but were able to continue on.

Casualties included:

Ben's Snuggle - tagged the wall a couple times. Pulled off track with multiple bent arms and wheel damage.
Dustin's WannaB Z - grabbed a pretty serious chunk of the second wall and was trailered off. Most front and rear arms bent or broken, rear wheel toast. Possible frame damage.
Charlies SC - Same angle wall tag as Dustin, but 40 feet further down the wall. Lifted off the wall with a forklift.
Brett's Black S13 - 2 separate tail-nose-tail wall tags. First one bent toe arms and tension brace, second re-injured those parts and pulled a tie-rod out of the rack.
Rolando's Z - Picked up a nice little scuff on the rear bumper from the main wall.
Andy's Red S13 - Another bumper scuff on the second wall. Pulls off the wall to do donuts and blows radiator hose on track.
Phil's S14 - Picked up a few more bumper scuffs and rear quarter damage flirting with the wall.
Chris's S13.4 - Lost a fight with a tire stack and left corner lenses on track.
Zort's S14.5 - Lost a bumper to the wall I think.

Awesome things you don't see every day -
4 deep Volvo Wagon Drifting
NA Miata with more angle than some of the 240s
350z / WannaB Z tandems
Drivers in town from Des Moines, Omaha, St. Louis, Topeka, Kansas City, Liberty, Independence and more.

Phil Dark is itchn2drift or something on the forum.

this was quite possibly the best kansas event ever at least from my point of view. Good drivers, lots of seat time, lots of new people, fun tandems and wall rides. Keep it up dudes

Dang that's a lot of carnage for a cheap, no competition practice day. Hope those weren't daily drivers.

Unfortunately, several are / were. The line didn't force you to the wall, but it was definitely encouraged. There was a fair amount of run-off if you spun while aiming for the nose clip, but playing with the wall is always a risky affair.

No problem. I completely missed Sedalia in the list of out-of-towners, so you should have been on both lists! haha

You are pretty close to our exact target for these events. Fairly new to drifting and willing to spend time building, driving, and repairing your car. The next event is going to focus pretty heavily on tandem practice, so it should be a good one for all of you guys that have been to a few events now and are really getting the hang of things.

So the 2 89 "180SX" hatches (maroon and silver) way in the back was me and my buddy. We came from Wichita in our DD's and this would be my second time on track. My first was in Stroud and only got in a few runs then my water pump went out. Not really the car I want to use but it's always there for me, while my project/"drift" car is always broken.

I didn't really see you guys on the track that much. What were you both up to all day? I hope everything went well and you both had a great time!

My friend was helping out on track and I just wanted to take it easy. My cars had a rough month 2 out of town drift events, 1 autocross and 2 water pumps. Then it still has to get me home and to work. I rebuilt the motor in it a few years ago so I'm glad its nothing worst than water pumps going out.

I totally understand. Nothing wrong with taking it easy. I just figured you would want as much seat time as possible considering cost of registration and how far you traveled.
