well, we couldnt find a decent 4.5 at the salvage yard so i pulled another 4.1 thats immaculate! and we got lucky enough to find a brand new transmission in the car as well, I doubt it has 10k on the tranny. all the fluids on the engine were crystal clear. pulled the valve covers and they had new gaskets, new spark plugs, new manifold gaskets, translucent green coolant, translucent oil, nissan oil filter, new oil pan gasket. when i say new i mean recently replaced.
I went ahead and replaced all of the gaskets on the engine as well as a new water pump and oil pump. might as well. the engine turns over perfectly and has 195 compression on 7 cylinders, the other has 192. went with new NGK R plugs, and Royal Purple fluids. The engine looks to have no leaks but we will find out once we get her running tomorrow!
This month shes getting 20% tint! After that im going with air ride solely for the practicality of easy ride adjustment. Cambered out in the summer... cambered out in the winter ;-)....unless it snows then i will raise it up a little lol.
Other than that we are looking at purchasing some of these bad boys!Image more addictive VIP (oh my) goodness to come! Stay tuned by following our blog on BTPgarage.com! place your mouse over shop builds then click "creations from the mind" on the slide out menu!

so.. the shop has been busy the past few days which means i havent had time to finish the cima. i was doing a wire tuck on it but im at the point where i need my car back so that is going on hold and im installing the harness to factory spec. im ready to get her back on the road. we will do the wire tuck on a weekend before the show. I wish it was as easy as doing one on a 4 cylinder

a while ago i ordered quality halos for my car that are infact aftermarket for bmws. I debated installing them because i didnt know how good they would look.. but i finally got around to it after having them for 6 months and they look really good despite my single headlight. i dont have any photos yet but i will post them. I will be ordering the grand touring cima headlights soon! But my 5 speed conversion is coming first!

definitely need the 5 speed.. this is going to be an insane car in a year... watch! I Highly doubt that there will be another Q45 like it in the US when im done with it my friends. It will be tasteful yet fast. Im fabricating a dual to single 2 3/4 inch exhaust right now. I installed my factory grand touring spoiler... then comes the flat white plasti-dip with the black plasti-dipped wheels. Next is the Brembo front brake kit (discs and pads) and the 300zx TT calipers. Then comes the transmission!! Im really excited for that because i see very few that have done the conversion online. I will be fabricating the clutch lines and using the 300zx 5 speed, clutch pedal/master/slave/lightweight flywheel/clutch. and the adapter plate. Getting an aluminum driveshaft as well  I am really excited for this! It will reduce my power loss through the drive train greatly and placing more to the wheels!

I have always wanted a big 4 door with a manual, but most of the swaps would require to much time/money.
