Right now the only hint that the car does anything different than stock is the wideband guage. And the all black grant steering wheel, but that's pretty stealthy.

The black seats are getting foamectomied. So I slapped the leather ones back in. STill looks heaps better than the tan dash and carpet.
Image

All the wire unplugged and plugged in again and only two things don't work. The horn, and the climate control, it partially works, a/c will kick on but no fans. :?
After that all that's left is the rear shelf carpet, and two plastic pieces both need trimmed to fit the roll bar and hardtop brackets.

Has no boost yet.
Clutch is dying and boost would make it not move at all.

Nope. Pretty low on funds. Need to get some stuff sold. And then everything will happen at once.

Also got this working on my phone, bluetooth logging and gauges. It's pretty neat.

This got some poly rack bushing at DIY saturday. Now the rack doesn't move, still have play in the steering u joints. :?

Putting together the tire and tool trailer hitch should get here today also... but I work the next 4 days. :(
Need to get it all together and measure what height raise I need on the ball. Then install wood decking, buy a box and locks for the trailer.

Got some things worked on. Non turbo things.

Trailer partialy assembled. Mostly bolted together now, just need to get a couple different bolts since I am running it lowered.
Then I can square it and tighten everything down, and start decking it.
Image

Installed a hard dog hidden hitch on my car. My very dirty car.
Image
Image
And it's really hidden even with a bumper cutout. And it cleared my exhaust. Whole job was maybe 30 mins.
Image

Another note. I need low offset wheels, but no money for that.
Image

Going to do some shopping tomorrow for the final trailer pieces.
And my taxes got done so I get to see how much I will be getting back finally. Hopefully lots.

It's coming together nicely. Can't wait to see what it looks like when you get around to being able to throw some wheels on it.

Tax return planning....

The "cheap" clutch and balance my fidanza: $450
Absurdflow manifold: $600-$700+
sell tial 38mm EWG for tial 38mm V-band EWG: $100
Bunch of aluminum and silicone connectors: $60-$100 ( depending on routing for intercooler.
Oil sandwich plate: $20 or nice one with reroute is $60
Various tubes and oil/water plumbing: $? depends on plain, braided stainless etc.
All within budget. :D

When I sell my spare torsen diff I will buy id1000 injectors and maybe some ls2 coils and new plug wires.
Then it's ready for 200+ WHP. :P

Want:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/ROTA-WHEEL-SHAK ... bb&vxp=mtr\

And some 1" bolt on spacers for the front.

Making it effectively 15x8 -25 and 15x9 -15 Lots of room for steering in the front. 195/50 all around for now. no one makes a cheap 205-215/50 tire.

So my plan of buying the rest of my turbo stuff kinda went way.
The guy I wanted to build my manifold is not taking more orders. :(

So my new plan is to buy a tig welder and build one myself. The flanges are all easily available. Making a simple log manifold should be cake.
Lots of the mods on this are already garage built. With a Tig welder I can make EVERYTHING.

So many things I could buy for this car right now but it is picking out the ones I should get first.

Bigger brakes: I do need new pads and rotors. Why not upgrade and while i am at it, get a proportioning valve too? Would be able to actually stop with tires with the e-brake. Also want bigger brakes so I can remove the brake booster.
Full poly bushings: Always wanted them, and I need diff bushings so why not all of them.
Clutch: Because I need one, just not that exciting of an upgrade. :(

Also want a turbo volvo wagon that is on craigs list....... and a t5 swap for it. But that is another story. Buy my 4runner

Not saying this to talk trash, but because you'll save money and get turbo goodness faster
Don't buy bigger brakes. (I've considered a proportioning valve myself, but that's a different story)
I can lock up my wheels with 1.6 brakes
You're not going to get brake fade at all
Some big brake kits don't even support ebrakes (I'm looking at you willwood)

I totally have performance rubber control arm bushings for the rear if you need them.
but don't buy them yet.
Get boost.

Boost is delayed a bit.... bought a boosted car. Volvo 740 turbo wagon.
Selling the 4runner though. So funds will come back soon.

The brakes would be two fold.
My ebrake doesn't work great, and a bigger rotor would help with heavier wheels that will come eventually.
And I kinda want to depower my brakes too. So the bigger rotors require less force to do the same stopping power.

Now that I have a turbo car.... I kinda want to something different with the miata.....

How about you free up some more money by trading miatas with me?
Minus suspension though

Nah..... After I sell the 4runner I will have the same money as my tax returns, so basically I traded a 4runner for a volvo.

And with a car cabable of pretty stupid power with what I have laying around.
I have, a Volvo + t3 turbo + EWG + BOV. And these motor are capable of making 300whp stock internals ( on the safe side )
And it weighs a little less than a v6 mustang..... So it will drift. And drag race faster than you would expect.

The miata runs and drives great already. But.... With about the same money as turboing it, I could probably go ITB.
Would not need a clutch that holds 300+ft lbs torque ( save quite a bit of money ) Would not need crazy injectors ( save more money ) Would not need parts for a nice turbo manifold (saves more money ) And would not need all the oil, water lines, intercooler piping, oil sandwich plate etc.
Save $300 + $300 + $200 + $100 = $900. ( that is with alternate clutch and injectors. )

And a miata + ITBs is an awesome thing.
http://rev9autosport.com/jenvey-individ ... b-kit.html Needs.... ECU Oh wait have that.

Vote now:
Turbo
Or
ITBs ( maybe eventually High Comp? )

as much as I love ITBs and N/A power, I'd really like to see this thing boosted.

Long term ITB would be something like 12:1 comp, mild porting, 8.5-9k redline valvetrain, and super lighweight everything that spins.
Turbo would probably stop at 200hp. Since I have another car that can actually do fun things.

But right now it is all up in the air. So many things I could do, just weighing all options.
I know for one, I am going to get a tig welder and sell my mig.
