Save your money and buy a 240. Lack of cheap aftermarket support will be a headache. Plus 7M's like to pop so why waste the time and money? Picking the right platform from the start will give you greater gains down the road. Sell it to break even or maybe make a few bucks from a Supra nerd.

And "I'm a w58 swap it" and "I'm a put spacers" is not English. "I'm going to w58 swap it" and "I'm going to put spacers" is what you are trying to say. Get that stupid text talk out of here.

Welcome to the site and I'm glad you're excited.

i wouldnt say its terribly expensive. there arent the greatest platform to drift but some people like a challange. My 7mgte was pretty awsome and despite hg's the 7m is a sturdy as they come honestly. I loved mine :)

to each his own

ive already had a 240 before and i wanna try something different reason why i went out and bought this.tired of every solution being "buy a 240" thats so cliche everybody and there grandmas drifts a 240.i just wanna be different..im liking the idea that miatas are starting to get into it more and more cause its something different than your average 240.money isnt an issue to me as i make 5k a month on a bad month so ill 2jz swap it when this motor pops  ..keep the feedback coming i didnt join this site to be ragged cause im trying to drift a sloth

That's a hell of a deal on a 154. Even cheap for a W58. Is it a MK3 154? Watch that just so it lines up all nice.

And for reference to make sure it is what the seller is saying it is: http://users.tpg.com.au/users/loats/tec ... oxes2.html

The w58 will still hold like 300hp+.
It's just that the 154 can hold like 600hp+ why people want it so much.

i think you should be fine with the w58 unless you are pushing 400+hp and boosting like crazy. of caorse you would want to go r154 and if the one in joplin is a r154 for a mk3 supra then you got yourself a really good deal. there is also a way to tweak your TEMS and make the suspension really stiff by jumping the realay and you can find that on the supra forums if you dont have enough money to get a good set of coilovers yet. but yeah, getting some good ARP studs and a metal headgasket is the way to go for the 7mgte's. should last you a while and you should be able to push the engine all you want.

yea the TEMS didnt work when i got the car so i took it off last night lol every less wieght the better i figured so every thing from back seat on back is out..i need to get rid of these crome mazda mx5 wheels that arent wide enough...im either getting a lightweight driveshaft from drift motions or im a run a light wieght flywheel to cut down wieght on rotating mass..im running open down pipe for now to take weight off
